Hi all

I've been inundated with comments over on ff.net on some of my fic reviews (mostly GUIHTD) asking if i've given up on it/them. As most are anon comments I can't personally reply to their queries so I'm doing a small shout-out and just want to say that I categorically have not abandoned ANY of the fics at all. Currently RL has got in the way again. My job takes a lot of my time up and lately my days off are just involving me catching up on things that don't involve my job - like food shopping or mountains of washing or, you know, sleeping and all that jazz. Also I have couple of things happening with my grandfather, which to be honest doesn't look that hopeful, as well as a few potential health problems for my father (I'm just hoping all results and reviews indicate we don't have to have go down a smililar route as before) - so my fics have kind of been sidlined but NOT abandoned (because that's my THERAPY).

On a plus side - I'm actually feeling a little ficcy today and have managed to write 3 pages of GUIHTD - and that's only the intro.

Title: Growing Up Is Hard To Do (Letting Go Is Harder) 4/?
Summary: After the events of 'Crayon's...' both Mike and Harvey realise growing up is hard to do, but letting go is harder. A tough case, a dip into the emotional minefield of adolescence and a distant Harvey is not helping either. (sequel to Crayon's For The Associate, Sir?)
Characters: Harvey, Mike
Genre: Gen
Rating: T
A/N: This is a sequel to phoenixoncloudnine's 'Crayon's For The Associate, Sir...' (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7353206/1/). I was greatly honoured when asked to do this. It wont be as long as Crayon's and probably not as good or epic, but I still hope you all enjoy it.
So the cliff-hanger I thought that might occur this chapter is not happening until next chapter. This chapter is a bit shorter than my previous ones (and probably should have been wrapped up in the previous one), but I had some enjoyment in writing it. See Ch1 for standard disclaimer.

"You"re scared, Harvey. You"re scared you"re going to lose him, so you"re pushing him away. Better now than getting hurt later, right?"Collapse )

Title: Suits: In Difficulty Lies Opportunity 3/?

Characters: Mike, Harvey, Jenny, mentions of Trevor, OMC
Warnings: mention of minor character death, some swearing, mentions of drug use, implied child abuse, implied non-con/sensitive material.
PG-13/T
Disclaimer: See previous chapters

Mike takes one of those precious seconds to process Harvey is in sweats and a t-shirt, only dimly aware that this should be way way way down his priority list of most important things to remember, before jumping from his seat.Collapse )

A/N: Sequel to 'Calls From Crappy Apartments' and part of TD-verse (a Trevor's Dead-verse). Also, i am aware that there has been a Clifford featured in the series. This 'Cliff' is no way associated with Danner. I had the name for this before I even realised someone by that name had been featured and I kind of liked how (I imagined) Mike would say it. all angry and hissing. Just, so you know.
Disclaimer: I do not own Suits of these characters. No infringement intended.

He"s out of bed in a quick flash when he hears "Mike"and "roofied" and skidding across the cool floor of his bedroom, phone pressed to his ear, while throwing on a pair of track-suit bottoms before Jenny even takes a breath. Collapse )

Title: Growing Up Is Hard To Do (Letting Go Is Harder)1/?
Summary: After the events of 'Crayon's...' both Mike and Harvey realise growing up is hard to do, but letting go is harder. A tough case, a dip into the emotional minefield of adolescence and a distant Harvey is not helping either. (sequel to Crayon's For The Associate, Sir?)
Characters: Harvey, Mike
Genre: Gen
Rating: T
Warning: Mike swears a lot more towards the end of the chapter. It is meant to be ooc.
A/N: This is a sequel to phoenixoncloudnine's 'Crayon's For The Associate, Sir...' (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7353206/1/). I was greatly honoured when asked to do this. It wont be as long as Crayon's and probably not as good or epic, but I still hope you all enjoy it (I also live in hope that there may be some au-one shots of kid!Mike&fake-dad!Harvey ;D ). The fic will feature some quotes/flashes from 'Crayons too...'
I am also aware that Harvey, initially in this, may come across as being in a different head space, in regards to his and Mike's interactions, as he was at the end of 'Crayon's...'. This is intentional, but only temporary and will be addressed in an upcoming chapter.
Song lyrics (extracts only) featured: Ships In The Night by Matt Kearney.

snagged from leoraine

'Post the first sentence (or three) from every WIP you're currently working on, even if it's very short. Then invite people to ask questions about your WIPs. With any luck, you'll get talking about writing, and the motivation to take that WIP one step closer to completion will appear as if by magic!

I am only including my posted wip's (ones that haven't been touched in at least a month) because I haven't got any unposted (although I do think I might have some dusty *shockhorror* written ones somewhere. If I actually find them, I will include them here.

wip"s this way...Collapse )

I'm running a test to see who's reading my posts. So, if you read this, leave me a one-word comment about your day that starts with the third letter of your LJ USERNAME. Only one word please. Then repost so I can leave a word for you. Don't just post a word and not copy - that's not as much fun!

The Fades... Or my new obsession

Just finished watching a marathon of The Fades on DVD. A glorious sensation, indeed. I am so glad I waited for it come out instead of watching an episode here and there, what with my work pattern.

Epsiode four was my absolute fave - with the fantastic 'dramatic' score overlaying some of the scenes and that climax/cliff-hanger.

I adore Paul... his complete awkward geek/anti-hero innocence being slowly marred. Socially awkward, on the cusp of normalcy and down-right weird (in a 'i.have.no.control.over.what.is.happening.in.my.thought.brain.' kind of way)

I really hope there's a second series. It left it open ended, and with some much needed answers. The thunder? The sky? Was Neil talking to a higher being or wasd he just making some generalised self-opinionated declaration?

*crushes @ new obsession and talks to the sky* I need more. please. for the love of god. give us more!'
(see music choice. quite aptly appropriate to the scene setting, methinks)
